CRZ NOTIFICATION, 1991 :
The Ministry of Environment and
Forests, GOI, in exercise of the powers conferred by Clause (d) of sub-rule
(3) of Rule 5 of the environment (Protection) Rules, 1986, with the
objectives of imposing the restrictions on industries, operations and
processes in the Coastal Regulations Zone, has issued a noticification (No.
S. O. 114 (E)) on 19-2-91.
Subsequent to the noticification dated 19-2-91, MoEF, GOI, issued some
amendments from to time and amended the applicability of standards for
certain type of the industries, operations and processes.
For the purpose of the better management of the Coastal Zone, the MOEF, GOI,
constituted the National and State Coastal Zone Management Authorities, vide
their Orders dated 26-11-98.
Details regarding the CRZ noticification with amendments issued by the MoEF,
GOI from time to time, the Guidelines prepares by the State Government
